Today, I write about lyrics that impressed me.
The first one is very popular as a Christmas song, JINGLE BELLS.
It says ♪Dashing through the snow.♪
Can you imagine the snowy scene that is covered completely with white snow.
Children in the song are DASHING through the snow. DASHING!
And ♪In a one horse open sleigh. ♪
Oh, the sleigh is pulled by a horse, which sounds fun.
And then ♪All the field we go...♪
Hah? How wide the field is ?
♪Laughing all the way.♪LAGHING ALL THE WAY !!!
Wow! the sentence shows how fun dashing through the snow in a one horse open sleigh is!

The next song is TELEPHONE LINE by Electric Light Orchestra.
The song begins with the call tone.
And the lyric fades in.
♪I'd tell you everything, if you'd pick up that telephone.♪
She never picked up though, he felt her via the call tone.
♪O.K. so noone's answering. Let it ring evermore.♪
Nowadays, young guys communicate via mobile phone or e-mail with boy/girl friends,which needs no strain of worry.
So they may not imagine this kind of situation. Am I a person with old-fashioned ideas?

Talking about lyrics, I remember when I took an English test for entering a university. In the test, there was one question that I couldn't answer immediately. It was a fill-in-the-blank question: ... talk ( ) the phone. After trying hard for a few minutes, I gave it up and I thought I would sleep for the rest of the time. I bent over the desk and closed my eyes, murmuring "the phone, the phone, the phone ..." Then all of a sudden, the answer came along with the melody of a song, "Kiss on the Phone."

A student preparing for an examination doesn't waste his time by listening to the English songs. You proved the fact. And in my case, it worked too. I cherish my school days with my favorite artists.

You're right. You never waste your time listening to English songs. It's fun and helps you with English exams. It's like killing two birds with one stone. "Fun" is the key whatever you do, I guess. By the way, you missed a tennis lesson today. Were you too busy?

Today, I went to take post graduate course instead of tennis lesson to skill up my professional technique and learn new theory. ♪It's been a hard day's night.♪
I"ll go next teniss lesson.
